Advance Auto Parts supports the Young Survival Coalition during the month of October

“I'm so excited to unveil our hot pink Breast Cancer Awareness Advance Auto Parts Funny Car," Force said. “We're teaming up with Young Survival Coalition, which helps bring awareness and educate women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 40, while providing them with the necessary resources."

Advance Auto Parts is partnering with the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) and NHRA driver Courtney Force in efforts to support breast cancer awareness and education this October. Did you know young women diagnosed with breast cancer face higher mortality rates, fertility issues, and the possibility of early menopause? Advance will be donating $1 to YSC for every CARQUEST product purchased from October 1st-October 31st up to $10,000 to support women 40 and under who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. This donation will be used to help create educational resources, facilitate support groups, and educate survivors about new treatment options for these young women and their families during a very trying time.

Based in New York City, YSC was founded in 1998 by three women who were diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 35 who realized just how daunting this diagnosis can be at a young age and the lack of resources available to them. YSC is the largest national organization dedicated to supporting young women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. They provide tools to understand what breast cancer is, various treatment options, fertility/family planning, financial help and what clinical trials are available. Here at Advance we feel like it is our duty to stand beside YSC in their mission to help these women feel empowered, strong, and hopeful.

Courtney Force will be sporting her YSC hot pink funny car and firesuit at the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals in Dallas (Oct. 12-15) and at the NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas (Oct. 26-29) to show her support for the cause. Make sure to follow our social accounts to find out more about the free mammograms that will be taking place in Las Vegas and also remember to root for Courtney as she supports young women everywhere in their fight against breast cancer!
